Practical, Neuro-Affirming Coaching That Works With Your Brain

Living with ADHD can bring incredible strengths alongside genuine challenges. Whether you’re struggling with organisation, procrastination, overwhelm, emotional regulation, workplace performance or career direction, the right coaching can help you better understand how your brain works and develop practical strategies that support lasting success.

At Allied Health for Wellness, our ADHD coaching is personalised, strengths-based and neuro-affirming. Rather than trying to “fix” ADHD, we work alongside you to identify your strengths, understand the barriers that are getting in your way, and develop realistic systems that support your goals.

Our coaching is suitable for adults, university students, professionals, managers, executives and business owners. Sessions are available in Perth or Australia-wide via secure telehealth.

Our Neuro-Affirming Coaching Approach

Every neurodivergent person has a unique combination of strengths, experiences and support needs. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to ADHD coaching.

Our coaching is built upon a person-centred, strengths-based philosophy that respects neurodiversity and recognises that sustainable change comes from understanding how your brain naturally works—not forcing yourself to work like everyone else.

Unlike general life coaching, our practitioners have specialist knowledge of ADHD, executive functioning differences, workplace demands, career development and the broader impact ADHD can have on education, employment, relationships and emotional wellbeing.

We combine practical coaching strategies with evidence-informed understanding of:

  • Executive functioning
  • Attention regulation
  • Emotional regulation
  • Motivation
  • Time management
  • Planning and organisation
  • Workplace performance
  • Career development
  • Self-awareness
  • Sustainable wellbeing

Our goal is not simply to improve productivity. It is to help you build a life that is both successful and sustainable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis?2026-07-07T16:27:23+08:00

No. Many people seek coaching while exploring whether ADHD may be contributing to their experiences. Coaching can also complement a formal assessment or diagnosis.

Is ADHD coaching the same as counselling?2026-07-07T16:26:34+08:00

No. Coaching focuses on future goals, practical strategies and accountability. Counselling explores emotional wellbeing and mental health. Some clients benefit from both.

Can coaching help if I am autistic as well as having ADHD?2026-07-07T16:28:11+08:00

Absolutely. Our coaching is neuro-affirming and recognises that many clients have co-occurring neurodivergence. Strategies are tailored to your individual strengths and support needs.

Is coaching available by telehealth?2026-07-07T16:28:55+08:00

Yes. We work with clients throughout Australia using secure telehealth as well as face-to-face appointments in Perth.

Which coach should I choose?2026-07-07T16:42:57+08:00

If your goals relate to education, career planning, executive functioning or everyday organisation, Danielle may be the best fit. If you’re seeking leadership coaching, executive mentoring or support navigating high-performance workplaces, Nick’s executive coaching pathway may be more appropriate.

If you’re unsure, contact our team and we’ll help guide you.

Can I use JobAccess to fund ADHD coaching?2026-07-07T16:52:39+08:00

Yes, it may be possible.

Where ADHD coaching is provided by our Rehabilitation Counsellor and accredited ADHD Coach, eligible employees may be able to access funding through the JobAccess Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) for workplace-based coaching and support.

The Employment Assistance Fund can provide financial assistance for workplace modifications and services that help employees with disability, including some forms of specialised workplace support.

As eligibility is determined by JobAccess and depends on your individual circumstances, we recommend making an enquiry directly with JobAccess before commencing services. Our team is also happy to discuss the coaching options available and provide information to support your application where appropriate.

Do I need a referral for ADHD coaching?2026-07-07T16:48:09+08:00

No. ADHD coaching is a private fee-for-service program, so you do not need a referral to book an appointment.

Many clients choose to self-refer and begin coaching without involving their GP or another healthcare provider.

If you have previously undergone an ADHD assessment or have relevant reports from a psychiatrist, psychologist, paediatrician, GP or other health professional, we encourage you to provide these before your first appointment. While not essential, this information can help your coach better understand your diagnosis, strengths, support needs and goals, allowing your coaching program to be tailored more effectively from the outset.

If you do not have any previous reports, that’s completely fine – we’ll work with you to develop an individualised coaching plan based on your current goals and circumstances.

Can I claim a Medicare rebate for ADHD coaching?2026-07-07T17:20:26+08:00

No. ADHD coaching is not covered by Medicare, and Medicare rebates are not available for coaching services.

However, depending on your circumstances, funding may be available through other programs.

If you are an NDIS participant, coaching may be funded where it aligns with your plan goals and is considered a reasonable and necessary support. Funding may be available under Capacity Building supports or Finding and Keeping a Job, depending on your individual plan and eligibility.

Some employees may also be eligible for funding through the JobAccess Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) where coaching is provided to support workplace participation. Eligibility is determined by JobAccess, and we recommend contacting them directly to discuss your individual circumstances.

If you’re unsure whether funding may be available, our team is happy to discuss your situation and help you identify potential funding pathways before booking.
