Alister is an AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with a strong background in public and community mental health services. He has worked extensively with children, young people, adults and families presenting with complex trauma, mental health concerns, emotional regulation difficulties and psychosocial stressors.

Alister takes a holistic, person-in-environment approach, recognising the impact of relationships, systems and life experiences on mental health and wellbeing. He is known for his engaging and thoughtful style, supporting clients to feel safe, respected and actively involved in their therapeutic journey.

His clinical experience includes individual therapy, family and systemic work, crisis intervention and multidisciplinary collaboration. Alister has a particular interest in trauma-informed care, attachment-focused practice and supporting individuals and families to better understand behaviour, emotions and patterns of interaction.

Family Therapy
Alister provides psychotherapy for the whole family.  Alister can work with the family as a whole or individuals.

Clinical Mental Health
Alister utilises evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs, with a focus on building insight, strengthening coping strategies and supporting positive change. He is committed to ethical, reflective practice and works closely with referrers and treating teams to support clear, coordinated outcomes.
